Hidrive congratulates AfMA on running a great 2021 fleet conference and exhibition, of which we were thrilled to be part of.
After Covid lockdowns and cancellation of the 2020 AfMA exhibition, it was exciting to hear the buzz and bustle of our fleet and automotive industry colleagues in the halls of the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, located in the vibrant South Wharf precinct of the city.
“It was great to network in person again, after the Covid restrictions in 2020,” said Doug Elford, Hidrive national sales manager. “We were pleased with the number of people that attended the event. The interest in our three display vehicles was inspiring, and it was great to be able to demonstrate the benefits of our new GEN2 service body as well.”
Other Hidrive attendees included Lachlan Dunlop (NSW & ACT Commercial Sales), Tim Grace (VIC & SA Commercial Sales), Drew Currie (VIC Commercial Sales), Daniel Trewarn (WA Commercial Sales) and Stella Elford (Communications and Marketing). The team enjoyed the change from the office environment and the opportunity to network face to face once again.
As at all AfMA conference and exhibitions, the AfMA Fleet Awards are a big highlight. We would like to congratulate the 2021 AfMA fleet award winners that were announced at the networking and dinner event on the Thursday night:
- Steve Ellis from Telstra was named Fleet Manager of the Year.
- Spotless Group won the Fleet Safety Award, and
- ACT Government won the Environment Award.
As a part of our stand, we had a mini golf set up and challenged many to see who could get a hole-in-one. We also had a business card draw, where the winner got to take home a Weber BabyQ BBQ. Congratulations to the winner of this: Louise Guest (Fleet Manager Australia & New Zealand)
