Hidrive is a regular participator in the Cancer Council Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea fundraiser. It becomes quite a feast here at Hidrive with a lunch provided along with other sweet treats for all the team. Cancer Council’s Biggest Morning Tea is an excellent method to fund research, prevention and support services for those affected by cancer. Here at Hidrive, we feel that this event is a fun and rewarding way to support the organisation and help save lives!View Event
Rapid Relief Team (RRT) recently hosted two ‘Farmers Community Connect Day’ events in Roma and St George (QLD) as a part of their commitment to supporting our farmers.
Bringing a smile to the farming community, RRT trucked in 350 tonnes of livestock pallets to support farmers in the area. Although the current season has been good, the severity of the drought over the last several years, means years of recovery, and RRT is playing a big role of support throughout it. The Farmers Community Connect days gave farmers an amazing opportunity to get some R&R as they collected their allocated RRT stock feed bags, they can also enjoy the legendary RRT burger + coffee, and a chat with the RRT volunteers, their mates, and other farmers.
Our Directors, Stan & Roger Eagle volunteered their time and one of Hidrive’s trucks to transport stock feed pellets to the St George event which gave direct support to approx. 220 farmers in the St George QLD area.
Stan shared… “It’s always a great feeling giving back to the community. We’re on the back of the most severe drought in living memory with our farming communities doing it really tough. Anything tangible that we can do to help them and their families to recover is well worthwhile”.
This year, Hidrive held our own Pink Stumps Day at all locations: Perth, Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney and Goulburn.
With a pizza lunch and a game of cricket in the afternoon, it was a good way to bring the team together and have a bit of fun, all in support of a great cause!
