Introducing MUSTR, a new service body designed for Aussie tradies

6 August 2026

Hidrive is proud to announce the launch of MUSTR, a new brand delivering a streamlined ute fitout for sole traders, freelance tradies and small trade businesses across Australia.

MUSTR takes the engineering behind our decades of Australian service body manufacturing and packages it into one proven base build with four internal fitout options, ready to install at service centres nationwide. It’s built for the operator whose ute is their business, and who wants a setup that’s fitted out for the way they work and ready to roll.

The offer is straightforward. Choose your spec and MUSTR delivers a tough, work-ready fitout without the wait or complexity of a custom build.

A simpler way to spec a ute

When your ute is your livelihood, downtime costs you money. MUSTR strips the process back to what matters. You get one engineered base, a fitout that suits how you actually work, and a national install network to get you back on the tools fast.

Every MUSTR is built on the proven Base Build, designed for dual cab utes and engineered for the conditions Australian tradies face daily. It comes with airtight, watertight weather protection, standard lighting, central locking and a 12V socket, a flush ergonomic floor, an integrated roof strut that takes roof accessories, and secure rear access and storage. The modular floor means DIY fitout capability is there from the start.

From there you choose one of four internal fitouts:

  • ALL-ROUNDER – perfect for tools, parts, and everyday trade gear
  • CONSTRUCT – structured storage with PACKOUT compatability
  • DIVIDER – ample open space for bulky gear and long tools
  • MODULAR – full PACKOUT mounting for fast kit transfer between jobs.

Afterwards, add any extras you need, then book installation at a service centre near you. There’s no lengthy custom design cycle to sit through. Just a ute that’s ready to work.

How MUSTR differs from Hidrive

We’ve long set the benchmark for fully custom, fit-for-purpose service bodies across utes, trailers and trucks. These are the tailored, factory-integrated solutions trusted by fleets, government and mining operators nationwide. MUSTR complements Hidrive’s custom solutions by offering a standardised, ready-to-install alternative. It brings that same Australian-made quality to the individual tradie and the small business, in a faster, more accessible package.

Instead of a fully bespoke build, MUSTR gives you a fixed, proven base and a carefully selected range of fitout options. That means less time speccing, shorter lead times, and a clear path from quote to install. It’s all backed by the engineering pedigree we’ve built since 1993.

Built for the people doing the work

MUSTR is built for the tradies and small businesses who keep Australian worksites running. Electricians, plumbers, carpenters, HVAC techs, and everyone in between. Maybe you run your own show and need a ute that won’t let you down between jobs. Maybe you manage a small crew and want consistent, easy-to-service fitouts across a few vehicles. Or maybe your work changes week to week and you need modular options that adapt without starting from scratch. There’s a MUSTR spec for the job.

Every build is engineered for strength, manufactured in Australia, and delivered ready to use, with trusted designs, proven materials and national service support behind it.
