They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and we can confirm there were a few misty eyes when we hosted our Ford Ranger Super Duty Open Day recently.
Around 30 valued customers from 13 organisations across government, fleet, and industry made the trek to our Goulburn manufacturing facility in NSW for the event.
Our guests relished being among the first to check out Ford’s game-changing Ranger Super Duty ute fitted to a colour-matched ‘Seismic Tan’ Part Canopy Hidrive service body.
In keeping with the impressive towing and hauling power of the Super Duty ute, we fitted out the service body to augment these capabilities. Accessories, mostly made in-house apart from the crane, included shelving, drawers, parts tubs, rooftop mine-bar, and even a heavy-duty hydraulic Hiab crane.
Showcasing Quality, Safety, and Australian Manufacturing
Our guests were also treated to a guided tour through our three production sheds, where they saw first-hand the attention to detail that goes into every Hidrive build — from design and fabrication to paint, assembly and installation.
“An eye-opening experience, when our team orders a body, we don’t take into consideration how much goes into the process.” — Daniel Lopez | Service Manager, Wirtgen Group
Feedback from attendees highlighted our focus on quality, commitment to safety, and strong Australian manufacturing values.
“Fantastic to see a priority on safety and the LEAN process being followed — I was impressed by the tour.” — Simon Van Holten, National Operations Manager, Cooper Fluid Systems
Building Confidence and Stronger Partnerships
The event gave visitors the chance to meet the people behind our brand. Many commented on the energy and pride of our team — and having Hidrive Founder, Stan Eagle, cook a mouth-watering spit barbecue for our guests and staff was a surprise highlight!
“It was fantastic to see Stan working the spit, couldn’t rate the lunch and food highly enough.” — Nick King | General Manager, Intura
The event reinforced confidence in Hidrive’s processes and strengthened relationships with existing and prospective customers.
“You can see the quality and safety input — it’s placed a lot more confidence in our team and strengthened our relationship with Hidrive.” — Joe Foti, Procurement Specialist, William Adams
Opportunities Beyond Super Duty
Beyond showcasing the Ranger Super Duty, the Open Day sparked new interest in our Hidrive trailer and truck offering, with several attendees enquiring about future opportunities and custom applications.
Seven organisations expressed interest in returning with their quality or fleet management teams for additional facility tours. Our response to that is, bring it on!
